Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and hold a CT RN license.
• CPR certification required at hire; maintain competency.
• PMT and de-escalation training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments and care planning with psychosocial, physical, educational and cultural aspects.
• Assess and reassess pain; educate patient and family; document outcomes.
• Develops and revises treatment plans; involve patient and family in goals.
• Follows medication rights; understand psychotropic meds and dosing by patient age.
• Documents nursing process and responses in a timely manner.
• Maintain safe environment; respond to codes; use critical thinking in priority setting.
• Teach patient/family; evaluate learning; act as a professional role model.
• Collaborate with treatment team to meet patient needs; provide psychotherapeutic education.
