Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ is seeking a part-time Night shift Registered Nurse (RN) for Psychiatry to join a collaborative team dedicated to patient-centered care.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer evidence‑based medications, document in EPIC EMR, and partner with physicians to coordinate secure, compassionate care while educating patients and families.

Qualifications

New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Minimum 1 year of behavioral/psychiatry experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
Administer safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and readiness for next care steps.
Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care coordination.
