Job summary

Applewood Centers seeks a Psychiatric Nurse for its residential behavioral health program in Northeast Ohio. The RN collaborates with psychiatrists, therapists and case managers to support children and adolescents with mental health needs.

The role emphasizes behavioral health education, care coordination, and leadership as shift charge nurse, with evenings and weekends rotation. Ohio RN license and PMH training are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing; specialized PMH nursing training or certification preferred.
• Active Ohio RN license; BLS certification preferred.
• One or more years of nursing experience in behavioral health or psychiatry preferred.
• Must complete TCI training.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists and case managers.
• Collaborate with clients and caregivers to provide care and support.
• Provide behavioral health education and management strategies while holding clients accountable.
• Assess clients for additional treatment needs and link to services.
• Monitor physical health aspects, med education, and side effects discussion.
• Provide leadership as shift charge nurse and document observations.
