Job summary
Applewood Centers Inc. is seeking a full-time evening Psychiatric Nurse to join our residential program in Northeast Ohio. As a Registered Nurse, you will collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers to coordinate care for children and adolescents with mental health needs.
You will assess clients, provide medication education, and participate in leadership tasks during shifts. Ohio RN licensure and PMH nursing training are required or preferred, with compassionate, culturally
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing is required and PMH nursing certification/training is preferred.
- Active Ohio RN license is required with BLS preferred.
- One year of nursing experience in behavioral health or psychiatry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers.
- Communicate with clients and caregivers to support treatment goals.
- Provide behavioral health education and management strategies.
- Assess clients for additional treatment needs and link to services.
- Monitor physical health, nutrition, and medication education.
