Job summary

Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Psychiatric unit. The RN delivers direct patient care, assesses conditions, and implements care plans to promote safety and recovery.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, current RN licensure, and a year of professional experience; Behavioral Health experience is preferred. EPIC EHR training is encouraged, with opportunities for professional development and supportive benefits.

Qualifications

• RN licensure to practice in Kentucky or compact licensure
• 1 year of professional RN experience required
• Behavioral Health experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care according to provider's plan and nursing scope
• Assess and document patient conditions; report changes as needed
• Administer medications, including insulin and IV fluids, documenting thoroughly
• Inspect wounds and manage dressing changes; assist with hygiene
• Use interviewing skills to gather information for treatment planning
• Collaborate with providers and staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes
