Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) in Pennsylvania seeks a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker to support individuals in the New Foundations - Wellsprings and Positive Resolutions programs. You will work with program participants and interdisciplinary teams to promote recovery, growth, and independence.

The position emphasizes person-centered, strength-based approaches, skill-building, and community engagement. It offers full-time hours, daily pay options, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum six months of direct care experience with mental health, substance use, or forensic-related challenges.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to complete required screenings, physical exam, and TB testing.
  • Basic computer and internet proficiency.
  • Reliable transportation and state-required auto insurance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (preferred).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
  • Experience facilitating groups and skill-building activities (preferred).
  • Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery-oriented practices (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Promote recovery-oriented and psychiatric rehabilitation principles.
  • Assist participants in identifying strengths, needs, goals, and recovery plans.
  • Provide skill-building services that support independence and wellness.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing and strength-based approaches.
  • Facilitate group and individual rehabilitation activities.
  • Participate in community-based outings and skill-development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with therapists, rehabilitation specialists, and treatment teams.
  • Document services and participant progress in electronic health records.
  • Support implementation of individualized rehabilitation plans.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by program leadership.

About New Foundations - Wellsprings & Positive Resolutions

The New Foundations - Wellsprings and Positive Resolutions programs provide supportive behavioral health services designed to empower individuals in their recovery journey. Through person-centered, strength-based approaches, program staff help participants develop independent living skills, improve overall wellness, and successfully engage in their communities.

As a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker, you'll work directly with program participants and interdisciplinary teams to provide rehabilitation services that promote growth, recovery, and independence.
