Job summary

Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is seeking a Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse for travel assignments in Yankton, SD. The PMH RN will apply clinical judgment across settings to assess, diagnose, and support treatment for mental health and substance use disorders.

Requirements include active RN licensure in the state, psych experience preferred, CPR and health certificate, and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing.
• One year of psych experience preferred.
• PMH-BC certification preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing

• PMH-BC certification preferred
