Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, seeks a Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse for travel assignments in Iowa, including Woodward. The role requires broad nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health and substance use disorders.

You will promote well-being through prevention and education, exercise clinical judgment, and coordinate patient care across diverse settings for individuals, families, and communities.

Qualifications

• Active, in-state RN license required.
• One year of psychiatric experience preferred.
• PMH-BC certification preferred.
• Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Current CPR certification, if applicable.
• Health certificate required per contract/state rules.
• Knowledge of and adherence to relevant professional standards of practice.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
• One year of psych experience preferred
• PMH-BC certification preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
