Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse for travel assignments across Ohio. The PMH nurse provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders, delivering education and prevention to individuals, families, and communities.

Candidates should hold current RN licensure and meet state requirements; psych experience and PMH-BC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing.
• One year of psych experience preferred.
• PMH-BC certification preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education.

The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
