Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse for travel assignments in Pueblo, CO. The role includes 36 or 48 hours per week with rotating schedules and a 40-hour orientation on day shift. Local and travel pay are provided, and benefits are included.

The PMH RN will perform assessments, education, coordination of care, and compassionate treatment for patients with mental health and substance use disorders. Inpatient/corrections experience is preferred.

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing.
• Current CPR certification if applicable.
• Current Health certificate as required by contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

Local Pay: $62/hr

Travel Pay: $2,669 gross weekly for 36 hours

$3,500 gross weekly for 48 hours

Location: Pueblo, CO

Hours: 36 hours a week or 48 hours a week - option for 36/48 hour rotating schedule

Orientation is 40 hours for the first 2 weeks on day shift

Notes: must have 1 year of inpatient/corrections/drug and alcohol psych experience

Start: 1st and 3rd week of every month with the exception of July and December only having one start date
