Job summary

Riverside Health System in Hampton, VA is seeking an RN to provide comprehensive nursing care under supervision of the Nurse Manager and Director. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients, using critical thinking and evidence-based practices.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes, support patient education, discharge planning and throughput, and uphold regulatory standards across the facility.

Qualifications

• RN license required (VA or compact state) and CPR/BLS certification.
• 1 year RN experience preferred.
• Nursing degree (BSN preferred; Diploma acceptable with requirements) and HS diploma or GED if Diploma graduate.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs and develop care plans.
• Partner with patients and families to implement and evaluate plan of care.
• Facilitate safe patient transitions and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain quality documentation per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Delegate and prioritize tasks to support patient care and safety.
• Respond to emergencies and optimize resource use to meet patient needs.
