Job summary

Riverside Health System in Hampton, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our inpatient care team. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Director, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the total nursing care of assigned patients on 12-hour shifts.

This role requires Virginia RN license (compact state acceptable), CPR/BLS, and a Diploma or Bachelor's degree as listed; 1 year of RN experience preferred. Weekend shifts and holiday coverage are part of scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Nursing is preferred.
• Nursing Diploma minimum education; Associate's or Bachelor's accepted in lieu of Diploma.
• HS Diploma/GED required only if Nursing Diploma graduate.
• 1 year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs per standards of practice.
• Collaborate with patient and family to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Ensure safe patient transitions and continuity of care.
• Document accurately per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Delegate and prioritize tasks to support quality patient care.

Education

Bachelor's in Nursing (Preferred)

Associate Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Nursing Diploma program graduate (Required)

HS Diploma or GED (Required if Nursing Diploma graduate)
