Job summary

Riverside Health System in Hampton, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for assigned patients.

You will work under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Director, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care that meets RHS standards. A Virginia (or compact) RN license and BLS/CPR are required, with weekend shifts included.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or nursing diploma pathway is required or preferred.
• RN licensure in Virginia or compact state upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required at hire.
• 1 year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs and develop plans of care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement and evaluate care.
• Facilitate patient throughput and ensure ethical, quality care.
• Educate patients and families; document education provided.
• Delegate and supervise non-professional staff to support care.
