Job summary

Riverside Health System in Hampton, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse who will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to create individualized care plans and supervise support staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires nursing licensure in VA or a compact state, and 1 year of RN experience is preferred. Weekend and irregular shifts are expected, with opportunities for a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in VA or compact state at hire
• 1 year related RN experience preferred
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing preferred
• Nursing Diploma is acceptable in lieu of diploma requirement

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs and apply standards of practice for the unit
• Develop, implement and evaluate care plans with patients and families
• Coordinate transitions and ensure safe patient handoffs and education
• Document accurately per Riverside Health System standards and regulatory requirements
• Delegate and prioritize tasks to maintain quality patient care and support team
• Respond to emergencies and allocate resources to meet patient care needs

Education

Bachelor's Degree, Nursing (Preferred)

Associates Degree, Nursing (Preferred)

Nursing Diploma (Program Graduate) minimum education requirement
