Qualifications

• Graduation from an NCCPA-approved physician assistant program.
• 1-year clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting preferred.
• Current PA license in the state and active DEA registration.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs psychiatric diagnostic evaluations to determine diagnoses and care plans.
• Provide psychiatric and medical services within standards and licensing boards.
• Maintain timely, complete and accurate medical records with proper coding.
• Performs pharmacologic treatment strategies and monitors medications.
• Order and assess labs and diagnostics; base decisions on results.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Ensure timely access to care with flexible scheduling and productivity standards.
• Under physician supervision, assume client care responsibilities including evaluations and prescribing.
