Job summary

Family Care Center in Texas seeks a Psychiatrist to provide therapy and medication management for patients in an outpatient setting. The role emphasizes collaborative care with therapists and physicians to deliver comprehensive mental health services.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required and board eligible/certified.
• ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency preferred.
• Current medical license in state of practice.
• DEA registration in the state of practice.
• Certification from the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services at or above the customary practice standards and adhere to medical ethics.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments using the bio-psycho-social model through discussion and observation.
• Identify psychiatric conditions according to the DSM-5.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans through multi-disciplinary collaboration.
• Initiate and manage psychopharmacologic treatments.
• Order and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic test results.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalization is required.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and families when clinically appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with medical assistants to streamline clinical workflow.
