Qualifications

• Graduation from an NCCPA-approved physician assistant program.
• 1 year clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting preferred.
• Current PA licensure in the state of practice and active state DEA License required.
• PA with Psych CAQ preferred.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Performs psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and coordinates care.
• Provides psychiatric and medical services within professional standards and licensing requirements.
• Maintains timely medical records and proper clinical/billing documentation.
• Performs pharmacologic treatment strategies, orders medications, monitors progress.
• Orders and interprets laboratory tests and diagnostics.
• Works with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate mental health care.
• Ensures timely access to care and productivity standards.
• Under supervision, assumes patient care responsibilities including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Delivers health education and informed consent discussions.
• Coordinates care with families, PCPs, and other providers for timely planning.
• Conducts Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation mappings/remapping as trained.
