Job summary

Cookeville-Medical-Center- is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our medical practice in Cookeville, TN. The role includes conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing and treating mental illness, and coordinating care with the Medical Director and care teams.

The ideal candidate will have PMHNP certification, Tennessee licensure, EMR experience, and a patient-centered approach with excellent communication. Telehealth may be used to extend care as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing required.
• At least 2 years of NP clinic/practice or urgent care experience.
• PMHNP certification and Tennessee licensure required.
• EMR experience and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain health histories, perform physical exams, and manage mental illness.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications within guidelines and state laws.
• Coordinate care with Medical Director and care teams.
• Utilize telehealth to treat patients when appropriate.
