Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our Wilmington, Delaware team. The role focuses on comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Nurse Practitioner Certification (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner preferred or as required).
• Current DEA Registration.
• Current CPR Certification.
• ACLS and PALS Certifications.
• Minimum one year of experience in a community clinic or similar healthcare setting.
• Experience providing psychiatric care and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment while collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications within established clinical guidelines.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and medications.
• Provide therapeutic support and counseling when appropriate.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation within the EHR system.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, therapists, PCPs and community resources.
