Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Nurse Practitioner Certification (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner preferred or as required).
• Current DEA Registration.
• Current CPR Certification.
• ACLS and PALS Certifications.
• Minimum one year of experience in a community clinic or similar healthcare setting.
• Experience providing psychiatric care and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications within established clinical guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and medications.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, and community resources.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment while collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Psychiatric Care

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, mental health assessments, and comprehensive health histories
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications within established clinical guidelines
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and medications
• Provide therapeutic support and counseling when appropriate

Clinical Documentation & Compliance

• Complete timely and accurate documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Maintain progress notes in accordance with Medicaid, Medicare, and agency requirements
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and quality standards
• Utilize appropriate coding and billing practices

Collaboration & Care Coordination

• Partner with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, and community resources
• Coordinate care among internal and external treatment providers
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives
• Assist with prescription refills, prior authorizations, and continuity of care efforts

Qualifications Required
