Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking a compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment for children, adolescents, and adults in New Castle County, Delaware. Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Nurse Practitioner Certification (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner preferred or as required).
• Current DEA Registration.
• Current CPR Certification.
• ACLS and PALS Certifications.
• Minimum one year of experience in a community clinic or similar healthcare setting.
• Experience providing psychiatric care and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications within established clinical guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and medications.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, and community resources.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
