Job summary

The SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) seeks a Nurse Practitioner, Non-Institutional to provide psychiatric and medical services under supervision at the Berkeley Community Mental Health Center in Moncks Corner, SC.

Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, crisis management, medication management, and maintaining thorough medical records while ensuring compliance with state laws and CARF standards.

Qualifications

• RN license in SC required.
• Nurse Practitioner license required in SC.
• Prescriptive authority in SC required.
• Experience in psychiatric illness and psychotropic medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric and medical services as part of the Psychiatric Medical Team.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations, diagnostics, crisis management, and medication monitoring.
• Maintain medical records per QA/QI standards and complete plan of care approvals on time.
• Attend medical team meetings and participate in professional development.
