Job summary

HealthPort in Cambridge, MD seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide nurse practitioner services for an assigned caseload, including assessment and prescription medications on and off site. This is a full-time position within an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program.

The role requires MD NP licensure, current CPR/First Aid, and a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include treatment planning, staff training, crisis intervention, and HIPAA-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Maryland NP license with insurability.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to supervise mental health professionals in a teamwork environment.
• Experience with crisis intervention and public mental health populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide NP services to assigned caseload, including assessment and prescription medication on and off site.
• Participate in team meetings to develop treatment plans and strategies for clients.
• Provide staff training on general and specific treatment topics.
• Collaborate in providing services to persons in acute mental health crisis to expedite return to less restrictive environments.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and timely, accurate documentation.
