Job summary

University of Maryland College Park seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join the PASS team. The role covers intake assessments, medication management and collaborative care with other campus health services to support student mental health.

This full-time, hybrid position in College Park, MD includes after-probation telework, weekend on-call rotations, and 90-minute new visits with 30-minute follow-ups. MD PMHNP license and 2+ years' PMHNP experience required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Psychiatric Nursing from an accredited school.
• Two years or more of experience as a PMHNP in direct patient care.
• Licensed PMHNP in Maryland or another state where practicing.
• Experience with college students or young adults is a plus.
• Experience in outpatient clinic settings; inpatient experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric services including assessments, diagnosis and ongoing medication management.
• Collaborate with counseling center therapists to coordinate care.
• Triage urgent cases and provide warm handoffs to primary/acute care when needed.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotations and campus committees as assigned.
• Liaise with hospitals for post-hospitalization care and potential hospitalization needs.
