Qualifications

• MSN required and active NP license in NY.
• ANCC board certification required.
• Ability to travel within New York.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong patient assessment abilities.
• Prolonged sitting and computer work.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with nursing home staff, residents, and families.
• Proactively follow up with patients and assess intervention efficacy.
• Provide education on best practices in psychiatry.
• Round at assigned nursing homes and make treatment recommendations.
• Integrate pharmacological and behavioral interventions, prioritizing non-pharmacological options when possible.

• Provide education on best practices.
• Round at assigned nursing homes and recommend psychiatric medication and treatment recommendations.
• Integrate pharmacological and behavioral interventions, emphasizing non-pharmacological treatments whenever possible.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• Active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License
• ANNC Board Certification
• Ability to travel in New York
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Strong patient assessment skills
• Strong, ambitious, patient-centric work ethic
• Prolonged sitting. Computer work including keyboard and mouse use for extended periods. Lifting/moving patients.
