Job summary

Ivy Psychiatry is seeking warm and razor-smart psychiatric nurse practitioners to perform consultations in nursing homes across New York. You will build an independent consulting practice while delivering high-quality psychiatric care to older adults and families.

We provide full administrative support and clinical mentorship, plus the freedom to manage your schedule on a private-practice basis. Competitive, incentive-based compensation and a supportive team culture complete this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required.
• Active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License.
• ANCC Board Certification.
• Ability to travel in New York.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Strong patient assessment skills.
• Strong, ambitious, patient-centered work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Work closely and collaboratively with nursing home staff, residents, and families.
• Proactively follow up with patients and assess the efficacy of recommended interventions.
• Provide education on best practices.
• Round at assigned nursing homes and recommend psychiatric medication and treatment recommendations.
• Integrate pharmacological and behavioral interventions, emphasizing non-pharmacological treatments whenever possible.
