Job summary

State of Ohio – Ohio Department of Behavioral Health seeks a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead the Nursing Department under the Director of Nursing. This full-time exempt role is based at 1756 Sagamore Road, Northfield, OH 44067, with an 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications

Current license as registered professional nurse in Ohio.
36 months of experience in psychiatric nursing or care for persons with developmental disabilities.
Undergraduate core program in nursing completed; 18 months in supervision/management recommended.

Responsibilities

Serve as Clinical Nurse Manager under the Director of Nursing.
Assist the DON in organizing and administering the Nursing Department.
Supervise psychiatric nurse supervisors and licensed/non-licensed staff.
Act for DON in their absence and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Develop and oversee patient education across clinical disciplines.
Create an annual plan for professional improvement and monitor staff development.
