Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires current RN license in Ohio.
• 36 months experience in psychiatric nursing or related care.
• 18 months supervision and 18 months management experience.
• 12 months counseling and 12 months public relations experience.
• Equivalent qualifications may substitute for some experience but not for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for 24/7 coverage of two units; supervise and direct patient care and actions of unit staff to ensure safety and quality of care.
• Serve as clinical and administrative leader and back up other managers.
• Guide nursing shift supervisors to ensure after-hours care and safety.
• Collaborate with clinical providers and directors to provide recovery-focused treatment.
• Evaluate staff competency, coach development, and handle disciplinary actions.
• Resolve issues using problem-solving skills and monitor patient outcomes to ensure care plans and accreditation standards are met.
