Job summary

Butler Hospital in Providence, RI is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Night shift. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for new hires, with half paid at 6 months and the other half at one year.

The role provides direct patient care in psychiatric and mental health settings, following ANA standards and RI Nurse Practice Act, with responsibilities including treatment planning, emergencies coordination, and medication administration. Full-time nights, every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RI nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
