Job summary

Care New England is seeking a Staff Nurse for the night shift at Butler Hospital in Providence, RI. Provides direct patient care following ANA standards and hospital policies. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered to new hires, with half paid at 6 months and the second half at 12 months.

The nurse will participate in treatment planning, coordinate care and discharge planning, administer medications, and support the unit as Charge Nurse during shifts. RI RN license required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RI nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
