Job summary

Care New England is seeking a Staff Nurse for night shift to provide direct patient care in alignment with ANA Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing standards and RI Nurse Practice Act. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered, with the first half paid at 6 months and the second half at one year of employment.

The role includes coordinating care, participating in emergencies, administering medications, and stepping into Charge Nurse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current RI nursing license.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
