ALIVATION HEALTH, LLC in Lincoln, Nebraska seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to lead behavioral health care within a collaborative team. You will work with a Psychiatrist to develop comprehensive treatment plans and provide patient-focused care in a warm, integrated setting.

The APRN will handle medication management, patient education, and clinical documentation while contributing to the clinic’s research and education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required and Nebraska APRN license in good standing.
• Approved Psychiatry NP program completion required.
• Current DEA registration and BLS certification preferred or in process.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic and emergency care in collaboration with supervising Psychiatrist.
• Manage patient load with specialized training in behavioral health.
• Educate patients on medications and possible side effects.
• Document clinical and administrative information comprehensively.
• Coordinate with families, agencies and pharmacies for patient care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Job Description Available Upon Demand)

• Implements and supports the practice mission and strategic vision within their respective departments.
• Handles confidential information requiring professional discretion and compliance with protected health information, data integrity and security policies.
• Provides routine diagnostic, therapeutic and emergency care for patients in collaboration with the supervising Psychiatrist.
• Maintains patient case load requiring specialized training in a clinical area.
• Provides patient medication management and education regarding prescription effects and side effects.
• Completes patient related administrative and clinical documentation.
• Confers with patient, families, agencies, and pharmacies regarding patient care.
• Utilizes multi-specialty services within clinic (Primary Care, Pharmacy & Research): Utilizes cutting edge health services in patient treatment plans, i.e. TMS, EEG, Ketamine, PGX
• Demonstrates critical thinking and function under stressful or emergent situations.
• Demonstrates adaptability to changing work demands in terms of priorities that necessitate personal initiative.
• Demonstrates excellent active listening skills, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively share knowledge with Chief Medical Officer, Psychiatrist, medical staff, student residents, patients, families, visitors, and the broader health care community.
• Demonstrate competence in Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities that service to maintain, develop, or increase knowledge, skills, and professional performance.
• Other clinical or administrative duties as assigned to meet practice needs.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Nursing Required | Current Nebraska Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN) License (State Registry Good Standing) Required | Successful Completion of An Approved Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner Program Required | Current DEA License Registration | Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Preferred or In Process | Proficient Medical Terminology | Familiar with EMR & PM Systems | Familiar with Microsoft Platforms

EXPERIENCE: Two Years Direct Behavioral Brain or Primary Care Specialty Patient Care In High-Volume Clinic Setting Preferred
