Job summary

Clinica Sierra Vista is seeking a Medical Assistant BH to manage psychiatric medication service requests, schedule patient appointments, and coordinate care across behavioral health and medical teams in Bakersfield, CA.

The MA BH will ensure efficient patient flow, maintain documentation, and support clinicians in a fast-paced setting while adhering to protocols and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred. On-the-job training allowed per State regulations.
• Current State of California Medical Assistant Certification required for MA II.
• Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) card per American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and confirms patient appointments with providers and clients.
• Manages warm handoffs between medical and behavioral health staff.
• Welcomes clients for psychiatric medication services and ongoing care.
• Performs routine patient care under licensed providers following protocols.
