Job summary

The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119-bed inpatient behavioral health facility located just outside State College, PA. We provide comprehensive care to children through adults and offer a range of outpatient programs across the continuum of care.

The LPN is responsible for shift-based nursing activities, medication administration, patient education, and crisis response to ensure patient safety while supporting a therapeutic milieu. Training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania LPN license.
• Interest in psychiatric nursing.
• Previous psychiatric nursing experience preferred but not required as training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care activities on a shift basis and promote professional nursing practice under supervision.
• Assist with medication administration following safe practices and educate patients.
• Respond to crisis or emergency events to ensure patient safety.
• Communicate treatment responses and changes in patient behavior or milieu dynamics.
• Administer medications under RN supervision and support a safe environment on the unit.
