Job summary

The Meadows Psychiatric Center, a 119-bed inpatient behavioral health facility near State College, PA, seeks a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for 7:00am–3:30pm shifts with rotating weekends. You’ll work under the direction of leadership to deliver patient care and support safe, effective treatment.

Responsibilities include medication administration, patient education, crisis response, and clear communication of changes in treatment and milieu.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania LPN license is required.
• Interest in psychiatric nursing and patient care.
• On-the-job training and education provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a shift under supervision of the Nurse Manager or DON.
• Facilitate safe medication administration and patient education.
• Respond to crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
• Communicate patient treatment response and milieu changes.
• Administer medications under the supervision of the Charge RN.
• Maintain a safe environment through rounds and patient flow management.
