Job summary

The Meadows Psychiatric Center is seeking an LPN for a part-time evening shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) with rotating weekends. The role involves providing nursing care, administering medications, and responding to crises to ensure patient safety within a psychiatric inpatient setting.

Licensed Practical Nurse with PA license and interest in psychiatric care is required; on-the-job training is available for preferred candidates.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania LPN license.
• Interest in psychiatric nursing.
• Previous psychiatric nursing experience preferred, but on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care activities per shift and promote professional practice under supervision.
• Facilitate safe medication administration and patient education.
• Respond to crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
• Communicate patient treatment responses and behavioral changes to the team.
• Administer medications under supervision of the Charge RN.
• Maintain a safe patient environment through rounds and milieu management.
