Job summary

The Meadows Psychiatric Center seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for a part-time 3:00pm–11:30pm shift with rotating weekends in its 119-bed inpatient behavioral health facility near State College, PA. You will provide patient care on a unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager, administer medications, and participate in crisis response to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania LPN license (required).
• Interest in psychiatric nursing.
• On-the-job training and education provided for psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Provide assigned nursing care on a shift basis.
• Facilitate medication administration per safe practices and patient education.
• Respond to crisis/emergency events to ensure patient safety.
• Communicate patient treatment responses and changes to the team.
• Administer medications under supervision of Charge RN.
• Maintain a safe patient and staff environment.
