Job summary

Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center, Inc. is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) to provide nursing care using the nursing process for patients in a psychiatric setting. The LPN reports to the Nurse Manager, RN House Supervisor, or RN Charge Nurse to ensure quality patient care on the units.

The position requires current Alabama LPN licensure, and one year of psychiatric nursing experience is preferred. CPR certification is required to direct patient management.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current status as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Alabama.
• One year of experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
• LPN must have credentials to direct physical management of the patient and have current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• The LPN will provide nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process.
• The LPN is directly responsible to the Nurse Manager, RN House Supervisor, or RN Charge Nurse for quality patient care.
