Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• One (1) year psychiatric experience preferred, but not required.
• Current status as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Alabama.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Must have a successful background, drug screening, and ABI/FBI fingerprints.

Responsibilities

• Direct physical management of patients and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Observe patient behavior for changes and intervene therapeutically.
• Guide non‑professional nursing staff, communicate changes, and record changes.
• Assist with staffing process for nursing issues and review staffing schedules.
• Inform managers of potential overtime issues and assist in making necessary changes as directed by the Registered Nurse.
