Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for travel assignments in OH. The role focuses on applying nursing processes and delivering quality care in psychiatric/behavioral health settings, under RN supervision and with the care team collaboration.

Ideal candidates have an active LPN license, 1 year of psychiatric/behavioral health experience, and current CPR, with compliance to professional standards and state/federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in state of assignment.
• 1 year experience in psychiatric or behavioral health care setting preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The LPN is responsible for applying the nursing process and delivering patient care in the psychiatric unit of a hospital or behavioral health facility, or in community settings.
• The LPN must demonstrate the ability to make clinical judgments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in collaboration with the care team.

The Psychiatric orMental/Behavioral Health LPN is responsible and accountable for the applicationof the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the psychiatric unitof a hospital, mental health/behavioral health hospital, or they can be responsiblefor care in community settings.
