Job summary

Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, seeks a Psychiatric LPN in Columbia, SC to deliver nursing care in a psychiatric unit or behavioral health setting. You will apply the nursing process under RN supervision and work with the care team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Key requirements include an active LPN license in SC, about 1 year in psychiatric care, CPR if applicable, health certificate, and ability to meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

The Psychiatric or Mental/Behavioral Health LPN is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the psychiatric unit of a hospital, mental health/behavioral health hospital, or they can be responsible for care in community settings.

The LPN must demonstrate the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in collaboration with the care team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current LPN license in state of assignment


• 1 year experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health care setting preferred
