Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Psychiatric or Mental/Behavioral Health LPN to provide nursing care in a psychiatric unit or behavioral health setting. You will work under RN supervision, applying the nursing process and collaborating with the care team to ensure patient safety and effective care.

Preferred candidates have 1 year of psychiatric/behavioral health experience and hold an LPN license valid in the state of assignment.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in state of assignment.
• 1 year experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process in a psychiatric unit or behavioral health setting.
• Make clinical judgments under RN supervision and in collaboration with the care team.
• Maintain safety and patient comfort while following facility policies.

Job description

The Psychiatric orMental/Behavioral Health LPN is responsible and accountable for the applicationof the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the psychiatric unitof a hospital, mental health/behavioral health hospital, or they can be responsiblefor care in community settings.

The LPN must demonstrate the ability to make clinicaljudgments in an effective and efficient manner with the supervision of aRegistered Nurse and in collaboration with the care team.

• Current LPN license in state of assignment
• 1 year experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health caresetting preferred
