Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for behavioral health settings in North Carolina. The role involves applying the nursing process in psychiatric units, with supervision from a registered nurse and collaboration with the care team.

Ideal candidates have an LPN license, prior behavioral health experience, and CPR where applicable. Travel assignments across NC facilities are available; excellent compensation and benefits accompany roles in this network.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in state of assignment.
• 1 year experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health care setting preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in psychiatric units with supervision by a Registered Nurse.
• Apply nursing process and collaborate with the care team to deliver patient care.

Job description

The Psychiatric orMental/Behavioral Health LPN is responsible and accountable for the applicationof the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the psychiatric unitof a hospital, mental health/behavioral health hospital, or they can be responsiblefor care in community settings.

The LPN must demonstrate the ability to make clinicaljudgments in an effective and efficient manner with the supervision of aRegistered Nurse and in collaboration with the care team.

• Current LPN license in state of assignment
• 1 year experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health caresetting preferred
