Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing with PMHNP certification OR Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working as an advanced practice provider in a psychiatric setting.
• Must have current Texas Physician Assistant license or Texas APRN license with PMHNP certification.
• DEA Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Psychiatric Triage
• Psychiatric Evaluation
• Short term interventions including observation, monitoring and stabilization of acute crisis
• Referral services that meet the needs of the individual person
• Evaluation for admission to an Acute Inpatient Unit
• Position details - Full Time - Day Shift (8a-8p) - Three 12-hour shifts per week, 39 per quarter.
