Job summary

AltaPointe Health's BayPointe Hospital in Mobile, AL is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our psychiatric acute care team. You will perform vital signs, accuchecks, and basic monitoring while delivering compassionate patient care to adults and youths in crisis.

You will help deescalate crises, document care clearly, and collaborate with the treatment team to ensure safe, respectful care across units.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and current CNA in Alabama required.
• Ability to perform vital signs, accuchecks, and basic monitoring.
• Ability to de-escalate crises and communicate with staff.
• Experience in patient care and documentation in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily tasks: vital signs, accuchecks, EKGs as needed.
• Provides patient care for totally dependent consumers and assists with ADLs.
• Document care and progress notes clearly and timely.
• De-escalates crisis situations and communicates with treatment team.
• Collaborates with other staff and works on any unit as needed.
