Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a current RN in the state of Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications observing the Seven Rights of medication administration.
• Monitors consumers for potential side effects and reports findings to the physician.
• Provides medication education for the consumer and family, including uses and potential side effects.
• Reviews MARs daily to ensure appropriate medication management and timely refills.
• Identifies psychiatric and medical needs and communicates with physicians to adjust orders.
• Documents nursing care clearly and promptly per AltaPointe policy.
• Assists with crisis intervention and deescalation when needed.
• Maintains compliance with Nurse Delegation Program, including recertification requirements.
