Job summary

AltaPointe Health’s EastPointe Hospital in Daphne, AL seeks a dedicated CNA to provide daily patient care in a psychiatric setting. You will perform vital sign checks, accuchecks, EKGs, and assist with activities of daily living under licensed nurse supervision.

Essential functions include monitoring patients, documenting progress, de-escalating crises, and collaborating with the treatment team while upholding privacy, dignity, and AltaPointe policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and Alabama CNA certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily task of vital signs, accuchecks, EKG’s, and assisting consumers with activities of daily living under the direction of an licensed nurse.
• Provides ongoing monitoring and interaction with the consumers.
• Provides daily assessment of consumer’s behavior and records and submits information according to policy and standards.
• Assists consumers with personal care, activities, current events and safety issues.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize crisis states and deescalate or resolve the situation.
• Collaborates with the treatment team and adheres to AltaPointe policies.
