Job summary

Pine Rest is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to support care in Hospital and Residential settings in Grand Rapids, MI. The RN will deliver high-quality, person-centered nursing care while promoting safety and recovery.

This role provides clinical leadership within an interdisciplinary care team and may involve training direct care staff. The position emphasizes night shifts on Pinecone (3rd shift) with a 32-hour week, sign-on bonus of $25,000, and incentive pay of $2.00/hour on top

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• Psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification required (BLS or CPR/AED/First Aid as applicable).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Valid Michigan driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess nursing care needs and develop plans of care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate and provide nursing care with physicians for individuals and groups.
• Provide milieu management and education to individuals and families, including discharge planning.
• Maintain a safe environment for persons served and staff.
• Document, verify, and communicate patient care information per policy.
• Monitor for safety risks or changes in condition and report to providers.
• Serve as a clinical leader by delegating tasks and coordinating staff.
• Participate in safety management, crisis intervention, and de-escalation.
• Support person-centered, recovery-focused care across populations.

Registered Nurse (RN) Key Responsibilities:

Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications:

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Satisfactory prior clinical experience; psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• CPR certification required (BLS or CPR/AED/First Aid as applicable by program)
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
• Ability to provide culturally inclusive, compassionate care
• Valid Michigan driver's license may be required
