Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Svc in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to support hospital and residential care. The RN provides person-centered nursing care, clinical leadership, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to promote a safe, recovery-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• CPR certification required (BLS/CPR as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assess nursing care needs and develop, implement, and reassess plans of care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate and provide nursing care in collaboration with physicians for individuals and groups.
• Provide milieu management and education to individuals served and their families, including discharge and aftercare planning.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for persons served and staff.
• Document, verify, and communicate patient care information according to policies and procedures.
• Monitor for and report potential safety risks or changes in condition to providers.

The RN plays a vital role in delivering high‑quality, person‑centered nursing care while promoting a safe, recovery‑focused environment. This position provides clinical leadership, oversight, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary care team.About the unit:Growing older is a natural part of life. Advancing age may bring a loss of independence and declining physical abilities. Both are factors in the special mental health needs of older adults. At Pine Rest, we have a complete assessment program for older adults and significant experience with successful treatment.We provide the full continuum of individualized care, offered in a comfortable, supportive environment. We believe in preserving and encouraging independence, coupled with care that is safe and practical for each individual.The unit is 26 beds total, featuring a distinct close observation wing with 10 private patient rooms, allowing for separation of patients by capability. Average length of stay is 15 to 20 days. Our specialty services include treatment for dementia, depression and anxiety, as well as medication management.Families often suffer along with their older relatives, and part of our program is designed especially for those who provide care on a daily basis.
