Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions seeks a qualified registered nurse to provide comprehensive care across child to adult populations with behavioral health needs. You will screen, monitor medications, educate clients, and coordinate with the Nurse Practitioner to support individualized treatment plans.

Travel within the assigned service area is required. A nursing degree and RN license are essential, with preference for experience in psychiatric or developmental disability settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably has experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administer injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Case management duties including coordination of community services.
• Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.
